Traveling and Training

As another week slips away, we find ourselves drawing nearer to the much-anticipated MCAS Miramar 5k event. With each passing week, we diligently work on building our endurance and strength. However, juggling running with frequent work-related travels, which span 3-5 days a week, presents an escalating challenge. In the midst of coping with delays, inclement weather, and exhaustion, we strive to squeeze in our runs whenever feasible.

Our recent running escapades led us to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where we encountered harsh weather conditions - 49 degrees temperature coupled with fierce 25 mph winds deterred us from venturing out. Yet, determined to make up for the lost miles, we pushed ourselves to train extra hard over the weekend.

We extend our gratitude towards Elev8 Fitness for providing exceptional equipment and unparalleled support from their wonderful staff. Additionally, a special thanks to Quality Bumper for their generous contribution of a Blue Ox towing system for our Jeep, enabling us to transport it to events across the nation. The knowledgeable and friendly team at Quality Bumper exhibited immense kindness in their gesture, acknowledging Alec's sacrifices and extending their unwavering support to our cause.
